Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know autism is part of our daily life. It affects and touches all we do.
Did you know that 1 in 68 children is diagnosed with autism? Did you know that autism is more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and paediatric aids combined? Did you know that in the last 7 years, the prevalence of autism has increased 78%? Did you know that there are tens of millions of adults living with autism spectrum disorder? These numbers are truly staggering.
By donating to the Autism Speaks Canada Walk you are taking the first step towards changing the future for people with autism. Your support will light the way to better research, broader services, earlier diagnoses and treatment, greater awareness and advocacy, and most of all, a brighter future for people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
Adrian was diagnosed with autism by age 3. We were told there would not be any meaningful learning for him past age 6. How happy we are to prove them wrong. He's 19 now and he continually surprises us as he learns more. . We have found that the biggest step in improving Adrian's life is reaching out and helping others understand what autism is, what it means to those impacted and to their families. When you know one person with autism, you know one person with autism. Reach out and get to know more!
Most of all we want everyone to know how amazing our loved ones are despite the many challenges they face. We have been a part of this walk every year since it started and we are touched by the family atmosphere.
I will be participating in the Autism Speaks Canada 2019. This cause is very important to me, which is why I’m asking you to support my fundraising efforts by making a donation.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
