Local Walk Ambassador: Noah Fortier
Noah is 13 years old, initially diagnosed with ASD or PDD-NOS when he was almost 3 years old. While he has spent most of his elementary school years at l’Etoile-de-l’Est in Orleans, he is now in junior high at Franco Cite.
His passion is animals, but even more specifically reptiles, from the T-Rex to the gecko. He has a real interest in animals and volunteers regularly at Little Ray’s Reptile where he is a Jr. Herper, also as a Mentor. He has unconditional love for his dog Marley, a long-haired dachshund who also gives him plenty of love.
Another great passion he has, are Legos, from creating original ideals to modifying kits. In addition, Noah has a terrific sense of humour and will no doubt make you smile or laugh. While he has not found his sport of interest, he has tried out soccer and football, which were great learning experiences.
This will be the fourth year that Noah participates in the Autism Speaks Walk, and Team (T) Rex is proud to have Noah as the local ambassador for the 2018 Autism Speaks Walk in Ottawa.
Noah’s amazing personality of compassion and sensitivity brings light to the future of autism.
The Walk includes fun activities, performers and snacks, before and after the Walk. Arrive early to give yourself lots of time to visit and enjoy the event with your family and friends!
