Walk Day Activities

Ottawa Walk – Sunday June 2, 2019, Bell Sensplex

The Walk includes fun activities, performers and snacks, before and after the Walk. Arrive early to give yourself lots of time to visit and enjoy the event with your family and friends! 

Upon arrival at your Walk, please proceed to Registration to submit your cash and cheque donations with your pledge form(s).  Ensure that your pledge form is clearly labeled with your name and team name (if part of a team) to ensure that you and your team receive recognition for all donations collected. 

Be sure to visit the ASC Connect Fair area to learn more about the services and programs that are available in your community.  ASC Connect Fairs are a part of our signature Walks.  Please contact your Regional Field Staff for more information or to inquire about an ASC Connect Fair at your Walk.

The Autism Speaks Canada Walk event will commence with the opening ceremonies where all participants are invited to gather near the stage for presentations, stories, and fundraising updates.  The Walk begins with an official countdown from the stage.

3KM Walk

You will go on a 3KM walk starting at the Bell Sensplex and around Walter Baker Park.

Rock Climbing Wall


Kids and adults alike will have fun as they climb the rock wall! Altitude Gym staff will be there to assist everyone and ensure harnesses are secured properly

Play adapted tennis with ProSet Inclusive Tennis. Keep active and try ball hockey – the Capital City Condors will be happy to join in with you!

Kids and adults alike will have fun as they run, climb, slide and jump through the inflatable obstacle course and climbing and sliding down the inflatable slide. The inflatables are very colorful and exciting with no extremely tough obstacles. Both inflatables can be used by virtually all ages including adults!

ASC Connect Fair

The resource fair is an opportunity for families, individuals, educators, caretakers, friends and social workers or anyone in the community who wishes to learn more about the products and services available in Ottawa and the surrounding area.

NEW: Ottawa Walk Ambassador Leo and helpers will lead Thumbs Up for Autism Awareness and are ready to paint your thumbs blue and help you create puzzle piece messages for everyone to share!

Improving lives on a daily basis, the St. John Ambulance therapy dog program brings joy and comfort to the sick, lonely and those who need a friendly visit.

Be entertained with songs by GleeCeptional performers of young and old with exceptionalities , plus cheers by the Ottawa Redblacks Cheer and Dance team.

Allergy Books for Kids: An educational series of books that will not only engage children who have allergies but that they might also be used as resources to aid with allergy education. By Canadian allergy mom Michelle Nel and illustrated by American allergy mom Jennifer Terry. www.allergybooksforkids.ca.  A portion of sales proceeds are donated to Autism Speaks Canada.
